Betting Preview: West Ham v Chelsea

With a slightly patched up squad, we go in to a big derby game with as much nervousness as hope if truth be known.

We have hit the bar ourselves with our bets recently so here’s hoping we will get a result with the layers. Usually by now a team will be settled and nearly picks itself and while Sam seems to be sticking to his formation 6-4-0 with no striker, it really confuses the issue of finding a first or last goal scorer.

Looking at the stats the one that sticks out is West Ham have scored in 80% of their last 20 home games. And Chelsea has scored in 16 of their last 20 away games so we should see goals in the game.

First & Last Goal Scorer

With the midfield once again going to be packed, we will take a punt on Mark Noble for first goal. In a London derby under the lights there is sure to be a few heavy challenges and the possibility of a penalty won’t be far away, so at 20/1 with most layers this could be value.

Correct Score

Going by the stats and presuming both teams will score, we are going for a score draw this week and 1-1 at 13/2 is our recommendation. If you fancy more goals 2-2 at 14/1 is also good value.

This week, Boyle Sports have a bet which is Both Teams to Score and Match Result. If you fancy West Ham to win & both teams to score 8/1 is cracking value.

So this weeks recommended bets are…

Remember, don’t let the Claret & Blue heart rule the head. It’s a long season.
