While Sam Byram is currently some way off an England call-up, if he can continue to progress over the next three to five years, he should have his sights set on a place in Southgate’s squad.
Right back is a notorious problem position at both West Ham and England and the 23-year-old could be the long-term solution for both if he fulfils his potential.
