It appears Arsenal are prepared to sell Ainsley Maitland-Niles this summer and, as this writer argued back in June, West Ham would be mad not to consider a move for the 23-year-old.
According to Sky Sports (via Metro), the Gunners are willing to listen to offers for the England international, who can play as a right-back and central midfielder.
With the need to build squad depth being a top priority for David Moyes, signing a player who is capable of playing in more than one position would be a shrewd move and given his Premier League and European experience, he’d be a useful addition to the squad this summer.
There are currently no fresh reports linking the club with a move for Maitland-Niles but given his potential availability, some fans on Twitter have been discussiWng whether they’d like to see Moyes make a move.
When one fan asked their followers whether they thought Ainsley Maitland-Niles would be a good addition, these fans made it very clear that they’d be very happy with hiim in east London…
Yes. Can play both full backs, CM and maybe winger. Incredibly useful in a season where we’re playing in 4 competitions

Definitely. Price is important but a young versatile player who offers speed and energy in midfield and has a point to prove. Pearce also loved working with him.
