Pelly Ruddock looked like he could grow in to a regular Hammers star when he played for us in the Capital One Cup earlier this season.

Of course it’s difficult to see much in just one or two appearances, but there were lots of calls for him to be given more playing time in the first-team.

So it was surprise to see the club sell him to Luton Town in January, leaving sections of the Hammers support scratching their heads.

And he’s beginning to show us why we shouldn’t have let him go with a number of brilliant performances for Luton in the Skrill Premier, including this superb finish to equalise against Dartford at the weekend…
