The business we conducted in the summer means we’ve got one of the biggest and strongest squad in years.
That has resulted our best ever start to a Premier League campaign and third spot heading in to the festive period. What a dream.
But it’ll only mean something if we continue to improve and grow beyond this season, especially with the move to the Olympic Stadium just eighteen months away.
The January transfer window doesn’t just give teams the opportunity to strengthen what they’ve already got, it can also provide an opportunity to snap up a few bargains ahead of the summer transfer window.
Players heading in to the last six months of their contracts are able to enter pre-contract agreements from January onwards and, if teams are able to move quick enough, there can be some absolute bargains to be had.
And, for some reason, there appears to be a lot more bargains set to be available in just under a month’s time. The list below represents the players approaching the final stretch of their contracts and who can be available for free in the summer if you can come to an agreement in January.
With Europe a real possibility and our ambition of becoming a top Premier League club within a few years, perhaps the owners and Sam Allardyce should look at a few of these…
