With the 2021/22 season concluded we’re taking a look at the top three goals from the 21/22 campaign that stood out amongst the rest…

3: Declan Rice v Dinamo Zagreb (H)

Declan Rice seals third place on this list for his incredible solo goal against Dinamo Zagreb in the UEFA Europa League group stages.

Back in September, when the Hammers beat their Croatian opposition 2-0, Rice went on a surging run from inside his own half before using his strength to hold off and beat his defender.

After breaking clear, the England international carried on attacking and slotted it home with style through the legs of the goalkeeper to seal an important victory for West Ham.

2: Andriy Yarmolenko v Aston Villa

Second place goes to Andriy Yarmolenko for his valiant effort against Aston Villa, when he came off the bench to score emphatically in his first match since the invasion of his home nation in Ukraine.

The goal itself was pure quality, when he touched it down with composure, turned and caressed the ball into the bottom corner with the outside of his foot.

An emotional Yarmolenko gave the club a crucial three points at a key stage of the season that day, but his goal was also a touching moment for the footballer and for those back in his home country.

1: Manuel Lanzini v Crystal Palace

Manuel Lanzini scores West Ham's Goal of the Season against Crystal PalaceThe best goal of West Ham’s 2021/22 season goes to Manuel Lanzini’s effort against Crystal Palace in the Premier League.

On New Year’s Day, Lanzini provided supporters with a magical finish. As the ball came to him just outside the box, the Argentine wizard flicked it up twice to smash the ball into the back of the net on the half volley.

The goal itself helped the Hammers achieve a 3-2 victory over their London rivals, but the 29-year-old’s technique and control of the ball to score that way was up there with one of his best goals.
