The Hammers have announced their first set of pre-season fixtures for the 2022/23 campaign.

The club have announced the first set of pre-season fixtures for the upcoming 2022/23 season, which looks to be set to be predominately in the United Kingdom.

The players will reportedly return to training at the end of this month in preparation for the new campaign but will face four teams away from home to start with.

Firstly, the Hammers will split the squad into two halves to travel to Suffolk and London for two separate fixtures on Tuesday 12th July at 7pm.

One team will play League One side Ipswich Town to start with, with the other half travelling to National League side Boreham Wood – who reached the FA Cup 5th round last season.

Following on from those match ups, David Moyes and his squad will face Championship opponents Reading on Saturday 16th July at 3pm.

Reading narrowly managed to stay in the second division of English football last year, after surviving a tough relegation battle which saw Peterborough United go down instead.

Finally, on Saturday 23rd July at 3pm West Ham will go to Championship play-off semi-finalists Luton Town, whose squad includes the likes of former Hammers like Robert Snodgrass, Dan Potts and Reece Burke.

With these four fixtures confirmed, the Hammers look set for a busy start to the season against some tough opposition.

This will certainly be a good test for the players following a well-deserved break after an enduring season, with West Ham looking to get a good start ahead of the new campaign.
