It is no secret that West Ham United will be looking to add at least one striker this summer.

Plenty of names have been banded around, such as Michy Batshuayi and Jermain Defoe, but a new target has popped up in media reports recently.

Birmingham City starlet Che Adams is on West Ham’s radar ahead of the summer transfer window, according to a report by The Mirror.

The 20-year-old has been a key feature in Birmingham’s squad this season after joining from Sheffield United last summer.

Despite his young age, the versatile forward has contributed 7 goals and 3 assists in 40 games – of which 28 were starts.

His close control, speed and dribbling ability make him a key asset as he predominantly operates as a winger.

Adams is also able to play as a striker or as an attacking midfielder too.

The diminutive attacker has progressed up the football league in the past two years and could be set for another step up next season if West Ham follow through on their interest.

The former England under-20 international appears to be highly rated by Birmingham fans although he is far from the finished article just yet.

If Adams arrived, you would expect another one or two forward additions to accompany him as the talented youngster is thought of as one for the future rather than an immediate fix.
