West Ham United insider ExWHUEmployee has revealed that all staff at the club will be paid in full throughout this isolation period.
As a result of the COVID-19 pandemic, football clubs across the English divisions – including the Premier League – are experiencing financial difficulties through lack of TV coverage, matchday revenue and other revenue creators.
However, every member of staff at West Ham need not to worry according to ExWHUEmployee. He said: “Well done to the club!
“They have agreed to pay all of the staff’s wages in full during this isolation period.
“It’s the right thing to do and I am glad they are.”
The Hammers will undoubtedly be suffering financially amid the COVID-19 outbreak; revenue generated from broadcast deals, sponsorship and matchdays plays a huge factor in paying players’ wages, outstanding transfer fees and, in general, keeping the club functioning.
