West Ham are actively pushing towards a major signing in the transfer market, as the Hammers look to seal an attacking addition.

The Guardian states West Ham officials will fly to Rome next week to meet with their Lazio counterparts, as the east London side push for the signature of Felipe Anderson.

Lazio, who narrowly missed out on Champions League football next term, value the Brazil ace at £44m but it’s stated that the Hammers will make an opening offer of around £30.8m plus bonuses.

Anderson’s agents held talks with Lazio this week and it’s widely reported he will be able to leave for the right price, with the South American also attracting interest from Monaco and Chelsea.

However, West Ham’s early push for a transfer has put them ahead of the queue and Manuel Pellegrini is hoping to land the attacker as his first major outlay at the London Stadium.
