West Ham United want to sign Marouane Fellaini on a free transfer this summer, according to The Daily Mail’s Live Transfer Blog (4th January, 14:36).
Manchester United midfielder Fellaini is entering the final six months of his contract and will become a free agent when his contract at Old Trafford comes to an end this summer.
It does not look like Jose Mourinho will offer the Belgium international fresh terms at Manchester United so he will probably be searching for a new club at the end of the season.
West Ham are not the only interested party with two other European heavyweights after Fellaini.
Turkish giants Besiktas are also in the hunt to land the towering midfielder, while Paris Saint-Germain could also make a swoop.
The 30-year-old will be available on a free but he is likely to demand high wages for his services.
Although West Ham would not be able to compete with PSG on a financial level, Fellaini may be tempted to reunite with David Moyes, who he previously worked with at Everton.
Moyes then took Fellaini with him to Manchester United and a reunion could be on the cards when his contract expires at the end of this campaign.
