West Ham United have been handed a big boost today in their pursuit of Stoke City forward Marko Arnautovic.
Marko Arnautovic has handed in a transfer request at Stoke City, according to Sky Sports News HQ.
West Ham have recently shown an interest in the 28-year-old, who has been one of Stoke City’s standout performers in the past few seasons.
After joining Stoke in summer 2013 from Werder Bremen, Arnautovic has scored 26 goals for the Potters and played just shy of 150 games in red and white.
Predominantly an attacking midfielder, Marko Arnautovic is comfortable on the left or right wing, behind the striker and he can even play as a centre forward.
West Ham, AC Milan and Paris Saint-Germain have all been linked with £15m moves for the versatile attacker this summer.
Amid these links with a move away from Stoke City, Marko Arnautovic has handed in a transfer request as he looks for a new challenge.
The Austrian international penned a new four year deal last summer, committing his future to Stoke until summer 2020 but he has grown frustrated with the way in which the Potters are stagnating and not progressing.
West Ham will be alerted to this transfer request and could firm up their interest with a serious bid.
