Nottingham Forest splashed the cash in the summer, investing over £200 million in new recruits.

Some signings have hit the ground running — Igor Jesus impressed with his intelligent link-up play, Dan Ndoye has added width and creativity on the flanks, while Douglas Luiz has been a reliable presence in midfield.

Others, however, have struggled to make an impact, and one such player has now attracted the attention of West Ham United.

With Niclas Füllkrug’s departure to AC Milan imminent, the Hammers are urgently seeking a striker who can hit the ground running in the Premier League and inject some much-needed firepower into their attack.

According to Jeunes Footeux, West Ham have targeted Nottingham Forest forward Arnaud Kalimuendo as a potential January signing.

The 23-year-old, who joined Forest on a five-year deal in August, offers pace, mobility, and the kind of depth that fits Nuno Espirito Santo’s style of play.

Kalimuendo has seen most of his game time in the Europa League this season, scoring twice, but first-team opportunities in the Premier League have been limited.

With Sean Dyche still adjusting his squad, a move away in January remains a possibility.

West Ham’s interest is partly built on familiarity — Nuno Espirito Santo was involved in signing Kalimuendo at Forest, meaning a reunion at the London Stadium could be on the cards.

For the Hammers, he represents a chance to bring in a forward who understands the manager’s expectations and could adapt quickly to their relegation fight.
