West Ham still undecided on £18m Dendoncker swoop

West Ham are looking to finally bolster their midfield ranks this summer, after failing to secure a permanent addition in this area back in January.
The Hammers opted to sign Joao Mario on-loan from Inter Milan, who has failed to find consistency, but it seems that David Moyes is preparing to return in the market for a player he chased during the mid-season window.
The Daily Mail state West Ham are continuing to eye Anderlecht’s Belgium international Leander Dendoncker but remain unconvinced about his £18m valuation.
Dendoncker revealed in February his frustration at not earning a move to the Premier League during the winter window but has responded well, starring for Anderlecht during the second-half of the season.
West Ham’s assistant manager Stuart Pearce travelled to run the rule over Dendoncker during this weekend’s game against Club Brugge, where the versatile midfield ace featured again.
Capable of playing in defensive midfield or at centre-back, Dendoncker would be a solid addition to improve both areas of a frail West Ham squad but the reports suggest that Moyes remains unconvinced on the 23-year-old.
