Michail Antonio was quick to hail West Ham’s victory over Norwich City on Sunday afternoon.

The Hammers needed to put the disappointment of Thursday night’s Europa League semi-final exit behind them quickly to ensure they were fully prepared to get the points needed to secure European football again next season.

And David Moyes’ men did that in style with a thumping 4-0 victory over the relegated Canaries at a sun-soaked Carrow Road.

Antonio netted West Ham’s second goal on the day and his ninth Premier League goal of the season, taking his overall 2021/2022 tally to 12, his best goal haul since arriving from Nottingham Forest in 2015.

Antonio, whose 55 Premier League goals in claret and blue makes him the club’s all-time leading goalscorer in the competition, took to Instagram shortly after the game to hail his teammates’ ability to bounce back quickly from disappointment.

Alongside a photo of him celebrating his goal on Sunday, he posted: “Best way to bounce back.”
