Diafra Sakho has been sensational since signing from Metz in the summer.
Seven goals in seven starts and a consistent goal scorer we’ve been craving for so many years now. His energy, determination and passion shines through whenever he plays and you just know he could end up as club legend if the club hangs on to him for four or five years and he can keep his goal scoring exploits.
But our worst nightmares were confirmed this afternoon when Jack Sullivan told his Twitter followers that Sakho will miss our next two games against Stoke and Aston Villa through a shoulder injury picked up in Saturday’s win against Man City. We were hoping to see him break a Premier League record by becoming the first player to score seven goals in his first seven top-flight starts when we visited the Britannia Stadium next Saturday, but it looks like we’ll have to wait a bit longer for it.
As expected, though, fans on Twitter had a bit of a breakdown upon hearing the news. Who can blame them?
Sakho will be out for 1-4 weeks after Saturday's game ! Max out for 2 games
1 weeks is best case
4 weeks is worst case#COYI #WHU— Jack Sullivan (@jsullivanwhu) October 27, 2014
