West Ham have bolstered their attacking options on Deadline Day, with Manuel Pellegrini landing another summer signing.

The club has confirmed that the Hammers have secured the services of 29-year-old forward Lucas Perez from Arsenal, who joins former Gunners team-mate Jack Wilshere at the London Stadium.

Perez signed for Arsenal two years ago but struggled for first-team opportunities in his first campaign in England, then returning to Deportivo La Coruna on loan last season.

He was deemed to be surplus to requirements at the Emirates Stadium by new boss Unai Emery but is delighted to have been given a fresh chance in the Premier League.

“I’m very happy to be here at such an historic Club.”

“I’m very excited, as West Ham are giving me the chance to stay in the Premier League and I’m very happy to be part of this new project.

“West Ham have great fans and play in an amazing stadium, so to sign here brings me great joy. I’m very motivated.”
