West Ham United are interested in signing Wojciech Szczesny this summer, according to reports in the Italian media.
Italian media outlet Il Mattino Sport are reporting that West Ham will rival Napoli and AC Milan to the signing of Arsenal’s goalkeeper Wojciech Szczesny.
Arsenal are likely to sell Szczesny this summer after he dropped down the pecking order at The Emirates but if they also offload David Ospina, then they might reluctant to let Szczesny go too.
The Poland international goalkeeper will probably not settle for a bench role, though, and a move to Serie A or West Ham looks likely.
Szczesny spent the last two seasons on loan at Roma and he is now being pursued by their Serie A rivals AC Milan and Napoli.
Napoli will need a new goalkeeper if Newcastle complete the signing of Pepe Reina.
The 27-year-old will now decide whether to move permanently to Italy or give the Premier League another try with West Ham.
With Adrian and Darren Randolph both showing weaknesses last year, Bilic has been linked with bringing in a top class goalkeeper and Szczesny fits the bill.
This report believes that Arsenal will demand about €16m for goalkeeper Wojciech Szczesny.
