Manuel Pellegrini is finalising his squad at West Ham for his first season at the club and is eyeing a busy end to the summer window.

The Hammers have signed eight new faces this summer, most recently landing young forward Xande Silva from Vitoria, but remain in the hunt for further additions.

According to The Mirror, West Ham are keen to complete a move for Celta Vigo striker Maxi Gomez and are planning a massive clear-out to fund a move.

While the Hammers hope they can negotiate a deal for the 17-goal striker that is less than his £35m release clause, outgoing deals are necessary in order to finance a swoop for the Uruguay international, who featured twice off the bench at the World Cup.

The report states that Sam Byram, Michail Antonio, Edimilson Fernandes and Reece Oxford are all set to follow Cheikhou Kouyate out of the club following his switch to Crystal Palace earlier this week.
