West Ham have a strong history of unearthing talent from the Championship, with Jarrod Bowen’s rise from Hull City serving as the blueprint.

Craig Dawson’s solid spell at the club after arriving from Watford and Saïd Benrahma’s flashes of brilliance from Brentford show mixed results, while recent signings Kyle Walker-Peters and Mateus Fernandes from Southampton further underline the club’s willingness to scout lower divisions.

Now, Nuno Espirito Santo appears ready to tap into the Championship once again.

According to SportsBoom, the Hammers are preparing an £8 million move for Bristol City midfielder Scott Twine in January.

Twine has been in fine form this season, scoring six goals and registering two assists, and his set-piece prowess has not gone unnoticed.

Bristol City boss Gerhard Struber described him as “outstanding” and a “free-kick monster,” highlighting his ability to make an impact from dead-ball situations.

Sources suggest West Ham are keen to act quickly to bolster their attack as they fight to remain in the Premier League, with competition for the 26-year-old also coming from Wolverhampton Wanderers and Leeds United.

With Twine’s technical ability and goal threat, Nuno hopes he could provide the creativity and firepower the Hammers have been lacking this season.
