West Ham are being linked with a surprise move for Brentford striker Andre Gray, as reported by MirrorFootball.
Hammers boss Slaven Bilic is in the market for another striker after an injury to Enner Valencia last month left us with just Diafra Sakho and Mauro Zarate as striking options.
MirrorFootball claim the Bees have already rejected three bids from Hull City for Gray this summer, while Derby and Bristol City are also believed to be keeping tabs on the 24-year-old.
Gray netted 18 goals as Brentford surprisingly reached the Champions play-offs last season, and has already netted twice this term.
The £7million-rated striker still has two years remaining on his Griffin Park contract and boss Marinus Dijkhuizen is looking to offer Gray an improved deal in an attempt to keep him at the club, according to MirrorFootball.
Gray’s career so far has seen him climb up the football ladder in spectacular fashion. After coming through Shrewsbury Town’s youth set up, he went on to enjoy spells at the likes of AFC Telford, Hinckley United and Luton Town before getting his break in the Championship with Brentford.
He moved to the Bees from Luton last summer in a £500,000 deal after scoring 47 goals in 88 league goals for the Hatters.
