According to a report by The Mirror, former Chelsea and Leicester City boss is being lined up by French Ligue 1 high flyers OGC Nice this summer but would prefer to stay in England.

Claudio Ranieri is set to assess his options this summer and consider staying in the Premier League before responding to the Nice offer.

Ranieri’s preference to stay in England has alerted a duo of Premier League sides who could be looking to change their manager in the summer.

Southampton are one of those teams.

With a mid-table finish looking likely, Claude Puel might be sacked with Ranieri a target for the Saints.

West Ham are the other club who might possibly be interested.

The Mirror suggests that the Hammers will review Slaven Bilic’s job at the end of the season and could consider sacking him to bring in Claudio Ranieri.

The Italian won the Premier League in his debut season with Leicester City in the 2015/16 campaign in one of the biggest shocks in the Premier League era.

However, he was sacked a couple of months ago with the club loitering in lower mid-table.
