What a way to win what potentially could be our last ever FA Cup game at the Boleyn Ground.
Angelo Ogbonna’s 121st minute header secured our place in the fifth round of the FA Cup, setting up an away trip to Blackburn Rovers in two weeks time.
And it was the icing on the cake following a superb performance from every player on Tuesday night, in an action packed game that really could’ve gone either way.
It’s the next chapter in what has already been an incredible season and, as always, the players and staff took to Twitter after the win – our third over Liverpool this term – to join in with the fans’ celebrations.
Aaron Cresswell, Angelo Ogbonna, Mark Noble, Enner Valencia, Michail Antonio and so many more players followed up their performances with celebratory words on the social networking site, with skipper Noble claiming it as one of the best feelings he’s ever had at Upton Park.
Even a bunch of celebrity fans and former players got involved…
