West Ham’s season has quickly spiralled into crisis.
Five league games in, they sit second from bottom of the Premier League table with just three points to their name, while an early EFL Cup exit at the hands of Wolves has only piled further pressure onto Graham Potter.
The football has been uninspiring, recruitment has failed to deliver immediate quality, and frustrations among the fanbase are already spilling over — highlighted by a letter of no confidence signed by multiple supporters’ groups earlier this month.
From costly errors at the back to a lack of attacking bite, the Hammers have looked a shadow of the side that lifted the Europa Conference League just two years ago.
With rumours of potential replacements such as Scott Parker, Slaven Bilic, and Nuno Espírito Santo swirling around, many would assume Potter has already lost the dressing room.
Not according to one respected insider, though.
West Ham Players Backing Potter

Speaking on a Sky Sports broadcast, Kaveh Solhekol revealed that the atmosphere at the club is far more positive than fans may expect.
“I’m being told that the mood at the training ground is very positive,” Solhekol said. “It’s calm and settled at the moment. And Potter still has significant support among the players.
He went on to explain: “We know at any football club there’ll be a few players unhappy, but my information is that the squad are really united to get back to winning ways.”
That will be welcome news for Potter, who has faced mounting pressure from supporters frustrated with results and recruitment. For now, at least, the players appear to be behind their manager and willing to fight for him.
Of course, football is rarely static.
A couple more poor results could quickly change the mood around the training ground — and potentially seal Potter’s fate.
