West Ham face a number of challenges in the summer transfer market and they may be forced to fend off interest in some of their stars.

The Hammers have seen club-record signing Marko Arnautovic emerge as a surprise target for Jose Mourinho’s Manchester United, with the Portuguese boss keen to add the Austria international to his ranks.

Arnautovic was crowned West Ham’s Player of the Year after an impressive debut campaign at the London Stadium, where he scored 11 goals to help fire the Hammers to Premier League safety.

West Ham understandably don’t want to sell the 29-year-old and The Daily Mirror reports the east London side have inserted a monstrous £60m price-tag on the head of their attacking ace.

Mourinho is said to already be in contact with Arnautovic’s agent and West Ham will be concerned that the offer of Champions League football will be difficult to reject.

However, they’re standing firm on their demands and will only accept a sale if a ludicrous price is offered.
