After a seven game unbeaten run, Watford finally put an end to it with an impressive 2-0 win over a disappointing claret and blue side.

We struggled to create much and we were always second best to every ball, and in the end we shot ourselves in the foot with two mistakes, which consequently lead to the two goals and the weekend accumulator tips went out the window.

We did not deserve anything from the game and credit to Watford as I thought they were very impressive and set up excellently against us, but it was one of those days where even our outlet Dimitri Payet was shying away from the action, which is a rare thing you will see me say this season.

Our day ended as negatively as it started with James Collins, who has two excellent games against Crystal Palace and Chelsea, got sent off for a heat of the moment tackle on Ighalo. I thought it was harsh but you cannot go in like that on a player, so I can have no arguments as to why the ref gave it.

The way I look at it is that we will have those odd bad games and hopefully it was a blip in what has been an excellent season so far. Slaven Bilic has done a tremendous job since taking charge and I am sure that he will make this performance a one off in terms of how we are progressing as a club this season.

Our next game is home to Everton, with danger man Romelu Lukaku coming into the game netting six goals in six against us, a reputation he has built up amongst our fan base. However, I feel this year Bilic will highlight his danger and with Reid and Ogbonna set to be fit again, I feel they will handle him very well and that will hopefully pay dividends in return.

We have had such a positive start so far this campaign and Bilic would have had them working very hard in preparation for Saturday’s game, so expect an exciting game which hopefully sees us come away with the three points and allows us to continue our superb form.

We have to keep in touch with reality because there is still a very long way to go until we can start dreaming of a “top five finish”, but if Bilic can motivate the players in the right way for Saturday and make them realise that the Watford game was a one off, then I am sure we will continue to get the results we deserve.

It is tough for Slaven as it is his first season in charge and he is familiarising himself with the premier league, along with a few other signings we have made this season, so to be where we are at the moment is very impressive.

Forget the Watford game, go and play the way we have been against Everton this afternoon and I am positive we can get a good result.

Do not let one game impact our season and keep supporting the boys no matter what!
