West Ham have endured a difficult season so far, struggling for goals and consistency under both Graham Potter and Nuno Espírito Santo.
The club’s attack has been patchy, with Jarrod Bowen the lone bright spot, while new signings and younger players have yet to make a significant impact.
The London side currently sit near the bottom of the Premier League table, with fans growing frustrated at the lack of firepower and points on the board.
Amid these struggles, the future of Michail Antonio, West Ham’s record Premier League goalscorer, has been a topic of speculation.
The veteran forward was released in the summer following his car crash, and rumours circulated that he could return to the club. A former West Ham insider has now clarified the situation.
Antonio Cuts Ties with West Ham

Speaking on the West Ham Way podcast, the ex-employee explained that Antonio, once described as “important” by fellow club legend Paolo Di Canio, has officially ended his connection with the club.
“What I was told is that he is not at West Ham anymore, he’s not been coming in to train and he’s not played for the Under 21s recently so I think his ties have been officially cut,” he revealed.
The insider added it was unusual that the club had not formally confirmed Antonio’s departure.
“Whether they’re still hanging on to maybe bringing him back as a player, or certainly a member of staff, it’s not been confirmed,” Ex added.
“Officially he hasn’t been in the building for a while but as I say it’s not been announced anywhere (from the club or player) that he’s definitely gone.”
With Antonio now fully out of the picture, West Ham must continue to address their attacking issues if they hope to climb out of the relegation zone and restore confidence among their supporters.
