West Ham United’s search for a reliable goalscorer is only intensifying as January approaches.
Despite recent back-to-back victories, Nuno Espírito Santo’s side remain short of firepower across the season.
Lucas Paquetá leads the way with four league goals from midfield, Jarrod Bowen has chipped in from wide areas, but the centre-forward department has badly misfired — Callum Wilson has just two goals, while Niclas Füllkrug is yet to get off the mark.
With Nuno pushing for a new No.9 next month, another name has now been added to the growing shortlist.
West Ham “Looking” at Parrott

According to a fresh report from Football Insider, West Ham are among the Premier League clubs keeping a close eye on Ireland international Troy Parrott, whose form has exploded this season.
The 23-year-old has enjoyed a breakout campaign, hitting 18 goals for club and country — 13 for AZ Alkmaar and five for Ireland.
His profile shot up even further after a sensational hat-trick in Hungary that fired Ireland into the World Cup play-offs, following a brace against Portugal the week prior.
Speaking to Football Insider, Mick Brown revealed West Ham are now firmly in the mix.
“A number of Premier League clubs are looking at Troy Parrott. Not just because he scored a hattrick in that massive win for Ireland, but he’s been playing at a high level for his club on a more regular basis this season,” he said.
Brown added that Parrott has become an increasingly attractive option for top-flight sides: “We’ve spoken about numerous clubs in the Premier League who are in need of a striker. This is somebody who is playing in Europe, seems to be at the top of his game, scores goals for club and country.”
Parrott — once seen as a long-term Tottenham project — has rebuilt his career abroad, and his current numbers make him difficult to ignore.
Whether his form represents a true breakthrough or just a hot streak is the question West Ham must answer. But with goals in short supply at the London Stadium, Parrott’s combination of age, form and confidence could make him a gamble worth considering.
