West Ham United want to sign Lincoln City defender Sean Raggett and have launched a £120,000 bid, according to a report by The Daily Mail.

Sean Raggett has been one of Lincoln City’s star performers this season as he helped them win the National League title and clinch promotion back to the Football League.

Raggett also played a key role in Lincoln’s surprise FA Cup run, scoring an 89th minute header against Premier League Burnley to earn the Imps a quarter final tie against Arsenal.

West Ham are keen to land the 23-year-old and have offered £120k to Lincoln for his services.

The young centre back has a contract with the League Two newcomers until summer 2018 and he could be tempted by a switch to Premier League outfit West Ham United.

West Ham’s bid is higher than any received from West Brom, Oxford United and Peterborough for the National League Young Player of the Year.

Whether Raggett could make the jump up from non-league to the Premier League remains to be seen and he would certainly have plenty of top players to compete with, given that West Ham have Winston Reid, Angelo Ogbonna, Jose Fonte, James Collins, Reece Burke, Declan Rice and Reece Oxford on their books.
