According to reports in Germany, Max Arnold is attracting interest from a number of clubs this summer after revealing that he would be open to leaving VfL Wolfsburg.
German magazine Kicker (via Sport Witness) is reporting that West Ham United are among the teams interested in Max Arnold.
The Hammers are reportedly one of two interested English clubs and they also face competition from the likes of Schalke and Borussia Monchengladbach.
Max Arnold is considered to be one of the brightest prospects in Germany.
The once-capped German international was one of the stars of the show during the recent Euro under-21 championships, where Germany under-21 won the title.
The versatile ball-playing midfielder has already played well over 100 games for Wolfsburg despite his young age.
The 23-year-old is contracted until 2020 with the German Bundesliga side but has revealed that he cannot make any guarantees over his future.
This news comes after Wolfsburg’s 16th place finish in the top tier of German football, where they narrowly avoided relegation.
His recent comments have alerted a number of clubs, including West Ham, who could make a swoop for the youngster.
West Ham could still look to add one more midfielder to their squad this summer, especially if they loan out Josh Cullen.
