West Ham United find themselves in a precarious position midway through the Premier League season.
Sitting 18th in the table, the Hammers are dangerously close to the relegation zone, having shipped goals far too easily and struggled to score themselves.
With the January transfer window approaching, Nuno Espirito Santo will be looking to reinforce his squad while also offloading players who haven’t delivered.
One potential surprise addition could be a familiar face at London Stadium.
Lingard Holds Talks with West Ham

Jesse Lingard, who enjoyed a memorable loan spell with West Ham in the 2021/22 season, is reportedly holding discussions about a sensational return to the club.
The England international spent nearly two years in South Korea with FC Seoul, where he scored 19 goals in 67 appearances, but is now eager for a Premier League comeback.
A source involved in the negotiations told Claret & Hugh: “Lingard has held talks with West Ham.”
Lingard still has interest from another Premier League club, but insiders suggest the Hammers are currently leading the race for his signature.
During his first spell at West Ham, Lingard made a huge impact, scoring nine goals and providing five assists in just 16 appearances, and there is optimism he could replicate that form if he returns.
With West Ham in urgent need of attacking reinforcements, Lingard’s potential comeback could provide a major boost to Nuno’s squad for the relegation battle.
