Manuel Pellegrini’s overhaul of the West Ham squad is expected to continue, with the Chilean boss looking to add to his five signings so far.
That tally is likely to reach seven, with deals for Felipe Anderson and Fabian Balbuena, but West Ham will not stop there if reports in Spain are correct.
According to Marca, as cited by Football Espana, West Ham have launched an official enquiry to Sevilla regarding the services of Italy international Franco Vazquez.
The report adds that the Andalusian side are prepared to accept a sale for a fee in the region of €20m, half of the 29-year-old’s release clause.
With Manuel Lanzini on the sidelines for a lengthy spell, West Ham are in need of more creativity in the final third, despite the signing of Jack Wilshere, and Vazquez could represent a decent option.
The experienced midfielder featured 30 times for Sevilla in LaLiga last term, scoring four goals and contributing a further six assists.
