But even if they avoid relegation, troubling warnings suggest a major departure could still be on the cards.

West Ham Could Lose Bowen

According to former club scout Mick Brown, West Ham may be forced to consider selling key assets this summer — including captain Jarrod Bowen.

The club recently posted losses of £104 million, leaving them under pressure to rebalance the books. That financial strain could mean difficult decisions when the transfer window opens.

Bowen, previously described as a “top player” by former manager David Moyes, remains one of West Ham’s most valuable and marketable stars.

While fringe players are more likely to be moved on first, the scale of the club’s financial concerns has inevitably cast uncertainty over even their biggest names.

West Ham in Trouble

Brown did not sugar-coat the situation when speaking about the club’s outlook.

“West Ham are in real trouble,” he told Football Insider. “If you asked me last season, or even a few months ago, I would’ve said there was no chance Bowen would be leaving West Ham any time soon.

“He’s happy at the club, he has his connections there, he’s their most important player and the fans love him as well, so that’s all positive.

“But this season has been a disaster and recent incidents might change things for him.

“He’s not going to want to play in the Championship, that’s for sure, but even if they don’t go down I think West Ham might have to look at selling him.

“They’ve got real issues financially at the moment and are going to have to sell players, and Bowen is obviously the standout in terms of his price tag.”

It is a sobering assessment. Bowen represents both West Ham’s talisman on the pitch and one of their most lucrative potential sales off it.

Survival would ease the pressure, but it may not eliminate it entirely. If finances dictate a significant sale, Bowen’s status as the club’s most prized asset could place him at the centre of summer interest.
