So yesterday did actually happen?
For most of us, that’s the first time we’ve seen West Ham win at Anfield in our lifetimes. Fifty-two years. Forty-two league games. Hardly any goals scored. Too many goals conceded. Anfield really was our bogey ground.
But that’s all over now, and it was well worth the wait.
But I think the greatest thing about yesterday’s 3-0 victory was the fact that it wasn’t just a win. It was a WIN. We went to Anfield with a game plan and executed it perfectly, much like we did at the Emirates against Arsenal on the first day of the season.
It wasn’t a smash and grab like most teams have to do if they’re to get anything from Anfield. It was a trouncing. A thing of beauty. A masterpiece.
And as usual, social media went in to overdrive as us fans took some time out from worrying about what striker(s), if any, we’re going to sign before Tuesday and celebrated a famous victory.
So here’s the best of social media from yesterday, including some very unhappy Liverpool fans…

Sometimes you’ve just got to stay quiet, no matter how confident you are.

Because you need to show character if you’re to prove you have great character within your character. Character.

Are we going to have one of these after every win this season?
Siri knows…
@davidgold thought you'd appreciate that even #Siri knows how good that win yesterday was #COYI pic.twitter.com/00pqWFW6aM

You know you’ve been taught a footballing lesson when even Siri acknowledges it.
