West Ham United today completed the signing of Pablo Zabaleta, the official website confirmed.

Pablo Zabaleta signs a two year deal at the London Stadium after his contract with Manchester City expired.

And, according to recent reports, West Ham are hoping to lure one of Zabaleta’s former Manchester City team mates to East London too.

The Sun are reporting that West Ham are hoping to use Pablo Zabaleta to bring Kelechi Iheanacho to the club.

Despite showing great promise, Kelechi Iheanacho had slid down the pecking order at the Etihad following the arrival of Brazilian teenage sensation Gabriel Jesus.

The Nigerian international could be set for a summer exit and the Hammers want to snap him up for £25m, using his former mentor Pablo Zabaleta as bait.

The Irons are also willing to double his £35k per week wages.

Everton are also in the running to sign the 20-year-old but West Ham are now in pole position by offering a higher transfer fee, higher wages and offering him the chance to reunite with his friend Pablo Zabaleta.

Zabaleta became West Ham’s first summer signing when he joined on a free and he will officially team up his new colleagues on July 1st.
