West Ham United are set to hold further talks with Anderlecht over Leander Dendoncker, according to a recent report by The Daily Mail.

Leander Dendoncker is one of West Ham’s top targets this summer as they seek to bring in a new central midfielder and further negotiations are set to take place as they look to thrash out a deal.

But Anderlecht rate the 22-year-old at £27m, which could dissuade West Ham from making a bid.

Dendoncker is considered to be one of Belgium’s top young players and he is keen on a move to West Ham as his agent has a good relationship with David Moyes.

The youngster is also able to play as a centre back and this versatility makes him a useful asset with plenty of potential.

Central midfield is David Moyes’ priority this month as he looks to strengthen his squad.

A host of names, such as Stoke’s Joe Allen, Bournemouth’s Harry Arter, Newcastle’s Jonjo Shelvey and Sevilla’s Steven N’Zonzi have all been linked with a move to The London Stadium.

Dendoncker, who has four caps for Belgium, is also on the list as West Ham continue to press ahead in their attempts to land a holding midfielder.
