West Ham’s campaign continues to spiral, with results hard to come by and relegation fears growing by the week.
As pressure mounts on Nuno Espírito Santo, several senior players have slipped to the margins — and one now appears ready to walk away.
Guido Rodríguez has been one of the biggest casualties. Despite arriving with a strong reputation, the Argentine midfielder has barely been used, making just two Premier League starts and clocking up only 166 top-flight minutes.
Once labelled a “defensive monster” by analyst Marcus Bring, Rodríguez has instead found himself frozen out, having already come close to leaving last summer.
Now, that exit looks imminent.
Rodriguez Green Lights Loan Exit

According to reports in Italy, Rodríguez has formally asked to leave West Ham during the January window.
Juventus, long-term admirers of the 31-year-old, have re-emerged as a serious option after previously stopping short of a concrete move.
Further updates from Gazzetta dello Sport now suggest the midfielder has now given the “green light” to a loan switch until the end of the season. Rodríguez is keen to revive his international prospects ahead of the World Cup, having slipped down the pecking order with Argentina since his move to east London.
Talks between Juventus and West Ham are said to be ongoing, with discussions focused on a straight loan deal. No option to buy has yet been mentioned, but the situation could move quickly depending on Juventus’ final decisions in midfield.
For West Ham, it would mark another quiet admission that a summer signing has failed to work out. For Rodríguez, it may be the clean break he needs — and for the Hammers, one more reminder of a season unravelling at speed.
