West Ham have been extremely active in the transfer market so far this summer, taking their number of recruits up to five this week following the captures of Jack Wilshere and Andriy Yarmolenko.

Manuel Pellegrini’s summer overhaul is far from complete though as the Hammers continue to push towards a deal for Corinthians defender Fabian Balbeuna, after activating the release clause of the Paraguay international, and are also closing in on a fellow South American.

The Daily Mail states West Ham have been granted a work permit for Lazio winger Felipe Anderson, who is set to arrive in a deal worth in the region of £40m – which represents a new club-record for the Hammers.

West Ham’s pursuit of Anderson has been ongoing for a number of weeks, as Pellegrini seeks to provide further attacking support for Hammer of the Year Marko Arnautovic, and a deal now looks set to be completed imminently.

The report states the deal will be announced within the next 24 hours, taking West Ham’s number of signings this window up to six.
