West Ham’s hunt for a reliable goal-scorer has intensified after a mixed start to the season.
Despite Callum Wilson beginning to find form, Niclas Füllkrug’s struggles and ongoing injury concerns have left Nuno Espírito Santo desperate for a proven striker.
The Hammers have been linked with a string of forwards, including Franculino Djú, Ollie Watkins, and Championship star Josh Sargent, as they look for someone capable of leading the line and scoring consistently.
One of the names recently added to West Ham’s wishlist is AC Milan forward Santiago Gimenez.
Now, with speculation mounting, the striker’s agent has publicly addressed the rumoured Premier League interest.
Gimenez’s Agent Speaks on West Ham Interest

Gimenez has struggled to replicate the prolific form he showed at Feyenoord.
Across 30 appearances for AC Milan, the 24-year-old has managed just seven goals and four assists, and just one goal in all competitions this season — a stark contrast to his 26-goal haul for Feyenoord during the 2023/24 season.
Despite reported Premier League interest, Gimenez’s agent Rafaela Pimenta has been clear about his current situation at Milan in an interview with ESPN.
“If the Premier League wants it, it doesn’t surprise me that they want it, that there are one or two or three clubs that may have that intention seems normal to me, but the idea of removing Milan is nonexistent,” she said.
Pimenta added that Gimenez’s situation at AC Milan remains positive, dismissing suggestions of unrest.
She added: “Santi arrived at Milan in January. He arrived at a Milan that wasn’t first in the standings, so to speak, a Milan that was in difficulty, because it’s not very pleasant. And now, Santi, all the actions, messages, words that I have with Milan, are always positive.
“There hasn’t been a moment where Milan told me, ‘Things aren’t going well,’ but all the press talks, and it’s getting too much, I call Milan, and Milan always tells me, ‘No, we’re fine, thank you.’”
While this could be a setback for West Ham, given Gimenez’s current form, it may not be the worst news for Nuno.
The Hammers may be better off exploring other options for a striker who can make an immediate impact in the Premier League, rather than chasing a player who has yet to find consistency in Italy.
