West Ham striker Niclas Füllkrug is set to make a surprise switch to AC Milan, with an agreement reportedly finalised for a loan move until the end of the season.

Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano confirmed the deal on social media.

“Niclas Füllkrug to AC Milan, here we go! Deal in place for loan move until June 2026,” he wrote on X. “AC Milan will cover his salary, no loan fee and buy option around €13/14m not mandatory.”

The German forward has endured a difficult spell at West Ham since his £27 million move in the summer of 2024.

In 29 appearances for the club, Füllkrug has managed just three goals and two assists, struggling to adapt to the Premier League.

This season has been even harsher, with the 32-year-old failing to find the net in nine outings.

With the striker’s exit now confirmed, West Ham will be looking to reinvest the freed-up wages and squad space to bring in a more reliable goalscorer during the January transfer window.
