The news many fans wanted to hear was confirmed yesterday, with West Ham issuing a statement ahead of David Moyes’ exit.

Moyes took charge of the Hammers back in November, guiding the club to Premier League safety, but didn’t do enough to convince the fans, and seemingly the board, that he deserves an extended deal.

The club announced yesterday that Moyes’ short-term deal at the London Stadium wouldn’t be extending, leaving the Hammers in the market for a new boss, and it’s fair to say the majority of the responses were positive.

With the statement issued on the club’s official channels, fans flocked to give their view on the situation and are now hopeful of a better campaign next term, after two difficult seasons since leaving Upton Park.

However, lots of fans were thankful of the work that Moyes put in to save West Ham from relegation – and a minority feel his treatment was harsh.
