West Ham’s timely victory over Swansea City last weekend has put the Hammers on the verge of securing their Premier League status.
There’s no doubt that the East London outfit need to improve their ranks dramatically this summer though after a woeful first campaign at the London Stadium, with defensive reinforcements being a priority.
Boasting a top-class stadium and plenty of potential, West Ham are an intriguing opportunity for any player to consider and the Hammers are reported to have already started to identify summer targets.
One of those is Hull City defender Harry Maguire, who has impressed for the Tigers this season despite a troubled campaign for Marco Silva’s side.
West Ham have reportedly been made bookies favourite to sign the 24-year-old England ace this summer and fans are split in their views.
Whilst many identify Maguire as having plenty of potential, others would rather the club sign players of a higher profile or promote from within.
Why are we going for relegation candidates defenders? Should sign O'Shea next imo.

@WHUFC_News he is a solid defender and has potential. But we also have Burke and Oxford who have more potential. We need a leader

@WHUFC_News If we are going to spend decent money on a centre half it should be Sakho from Liverpool.
We should also look at Ake from Chelsea.— Kris Johnson (@kjohno10) April 13, 2017
