West Ham continue to be busy in the transfer market as they look to improve their ranks ahead of the new season but the latest update isn’t what fans were hoping for.

Manuel Pellegrini is keen to ease the pressure on club-record signing Marko Arnautovic, who shined on his debut season at the London Stadium by scoring 11 goals following his arrival from Stoke City.

The Hammers have identified Lazio ace Felipe Anderson as their prime target in the market and have been encouraged by reports that the Brazil winger is keen on a move to the London Stadium.

However, according to the latest update, West Ham are yet to meet the demands of the Italian side – with an offer from the Hammers said to be around £5m short of Lazio’s valuation.

Naturally, this has got fans on social media in a frenzy as they plead for West Ham to pay that little bit extra in order to get a deal over the line.
