West Ham face a stern test this summer to bolster their squad for next term, as they eye significant improvements to their side.
Following what’s been a largely disappointing maiden campaign at the London Stadium, the Hammers want changes across the board and the defence is likely to be a key area of the club’s focus.
Speculation persists to suggest that West Ham will eye a new goalkeeper, a new right-back and additional forces at centre-half; although one name linked hasn’t gone down well.
Reports suggest that Sunderland defender Lamine Kane is on the Hammers short-list, with the centre-half likely to leave the Black Cats this summer.
Relegation for David Moyes side seems almost inevitable, especially after last night’s defeat to second-bottom Middlesbrough, and their players will be prime for the taken.
Fans aren’t best pleased with the links though, as they’re wondering why a player who’s been a part of one of the worst sides this season is being linked- and wonder if he could actually be an improvement.
Ginge, Burke, Oxford…..why Kone?
