With the transfer window now open for business for the summer, plenty of fans have started to run the rule over reported signings and whether they’d be beneficial additions.
West Ham fans could be busier than most in that aspect, as Manuel Pellegrini is eyeing a complete rejuvenation of the squad following his appointment and the club’s disappointing campaign.
One player the Hammers have been linked with regularly this season is Fulham full-back Ryan Fredericks, who helped the Cottagers seal a return to the Premier League following playoff victory against Aston Villa at Wembley.
With Fulham’s rise to the top-flight, landing Fredericks may be more difficult but West Ham, and any other interested parties, will be encouraged by the fact his current deal with the London side is edging towards it’s conclusion.
Given that he could soon become a free agent and has excelled this season, West Ham fans on social media urged the club to push through a move for the defender.
Not bothered if we get them or not. https://t.co/ChB6WUZG2l

Would take Fredericks for sure. Stamp aside, he’s had a good game and has blistering pace. With Zaba as a mentor, he could continue his development here. Would fit well in the Pellegrini system as well

Cairney is good, but we can find better/cheaper elsewhere in Europe. I trust Pellegrini’s scouting system.
I want Fredericks though. Rapid down that right side, and stamp aside has looked very assured in defense. On a free it’s a no brainer

We need to sign Balotelli, Wilshere, and Fredericks. All on a free, and all of them will improve our squad massively

IMO we can still persuade Ryan Fredericks to join with the wages we'll be offering. But it'll be very difficult to sign Tom Cairney now
Fredericks would be a great addition if we can pull it off ⚒

Didn't especially rate Fredericks. Could have been sent off. Could have given away a penalty. Looks good going forwards but looks like he could be a bit iffy at the back. I know fullbacks are meant to attack these days but I like them to be defenders first.

Fredericks looks awful every time I have seen him
