West Ham have not had the best of luck with strikers over the past few years.
Andy Carroll and Diafra Sakho are both frustratingly injury prone and the team suffers as a result.
Diafra Sakho has had a mixed career at West Ham: he started with an incredible goal scoring record, then suffered some injuries and has since been caught up in a number of off the field controversies.
These include trying to push through a transfer to West Brom and driving his car into a wall.
The latest on Sakho’s injury is that he is ruled out for the season, The London Evening Standard is reporting.
Slaven Bilic confirmed this in his press conference ahead of Friday night’s clash with Tottenham Hotspur at the London Stadium.
Many fans would have been hoping for either one or both of Andy Carroll and Diafra Sakho to return but Carroll is a doubt and Sakho is ruled out completely.
Due to his various attitude problems and injury woes, this could well spell the end of the Senegal international’s West Ham career.
Here are how fans on Twitter reacted to this news.

Pay his contract up and let him go, but ensure he can't play for anyone else until what would have been his contract expiry date ⚒#fairy
