West Ham United recently announced on the club’s official website that Michail Antonio has signed a new deal with the club.
The star man has been one of the standout performers this season and this was shown when he pipped impressive trio Pedro Obiang, Winston Reid and Manuel Lanzini to the Hammer of the Year award for the 2016/17 season.
Currently out injured, Antonio contributes with speedy and powerful displays on the flanks, as well as goals and assists.
The 27-year-old earned his first ever call up to the England international side this season as a reward for his impressive performances in claret and blue.
Amid widespread rumours of his exit, Michail Antonio has put pen to paper on a new deal with West Ham which will last until the summer of 2021.
Antonio has been offered improved terms and was delighted to sign the deal.
West Ham fans, however, were even more delighted.
They flocked to social media to express their opinions on the new deal with unanimously positive reaction.
Here are a selection of the best responses after West Ham announced the news on their Twitter account earlier today.
