West Ham are hoping to beat Wolfsburg and Fenerbahce to the signature of Juventus forward Fabio Quagliarella, according to talkSPORT.
The 30-year-old Italian is expected to leave Juventus in the summer and there are a number of clubs lining up to speak with him.
Sam Allardyce is in search of a proven goalscorer to replace Andy Carroll if the club choose not take up the £17million deal to make the Liverpool striker’s loan move permanent in the summer.
But Allardyce will need to move quickly if he is to tempt the experienced former Sampdoria, Udinese and Napoli forward to East London.
