West Ham United are being linked with a move for Chris Smalling.
According to The Daily Star, Manchester United are ready to sell Chris Smalling with West Ham United, Everton and Crystal Palace all reportedly interested.
Chris Smalling has been at Manchester United since joining from Fulham in 2010.
During that time, he has played over 150 Premier League matches for the Red Devils but this season has been a frustrating one for the centre half.
His progress has been hampered by injury and he has subsequently lost his place to the likes of Marcos Rojo, Daley Blind, Eric Bailly and Phil Jones.
Manchester United have also recently completed the signing of Sweden international Victor Lindelof.
With many centre backs on their books, Manchester United are willing to let Smalling go this summer at the right price.
The 27-year-old is now a target for the Hammers, as well as Everton and Crystal Palace.
Chris Smalling would add height, leadership and power to the West Ham defence but there are plenty of other options for Slaven Bilic in this department.
Jose Fonte, Angelo Ogbonna, James Collins, Winston Reid, Declan Rice, Reece Oxford and Reece Burke are the current centre back options and the England international’s price tag could put the Irons off with other positions to prioritise first.
