West Ham United are edging closer to the signing of Marko Arnautovic.

According to Sky Sports News HQ, Marko Arnautovic is set to undergo a medical and discuss personal terms with West Ham United ahead of his proposed move to Stoke City.

The talented attacker is nearing his move after handing in a transfer request recently at Stoke City.

However, his long-term contract means that West Ham have to stump up a hefty transfer fee.

After seeing two bids rejected, West Ham have had a £24m bid accepted by Stoke for Marko Arnautovic, according to recent reports.

If this figure is accurate, Arnautovic would become West Ham’s record signing.

The Austrian international is now due to discuss personal terms with the Hammers and then undergo a medical ahead of his move.

West Ham are hoping to wrap this deal up by the end of the week so that the 28-year-old can fly out to Germany to join his new team mates in pre-season training.

Arnautovic wants this move to happen and it now looks increasingly likely that it will go ahead.

After signing Pablo Zabaleta and Joe Hart, Marko Arnautovic could become the third player to join West Ham this summer.
